The protection of your data is important to us. Therefore, we commit ourselves to transparent and responsible handling of your data by informing you what happens to your personal data when you visit or perform other actions on our websites. Personal data is the data with which you can be identified.

The processing of personal data is based on the legal norms of the applicable laws, in particular the Data Protection Act of the Protestant Church in Germany (DSG-EKD).

I. Data collection and data processing on our websites

We process personal data of our users, insofar as this is necessary for the provision of a functional website and our content and services. An exception applies if prior consent cannot be obtained for real reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by law.

You provide us with your data, for example by filling out our various contact forms. Furthermore, when you visit our websites, our website operator Host Europe automatically collects data in order to improve user-friendliness or to ensure faultless usage of our websites.

Your rights regarding your data

You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You can contact our data protection officer at any time regarding this and other questions on the subject of data protection.

Revocation of your consent for data processing

E-mail Security

The user agrees to electronic communication as soon as he himself establishes electronic contact with a non-profit subsidiary of the Berliner Stadtmission. The user is informed that e-mails can be read or changed without authorisation and unnoticed during transmission. The Berliner Stadtmission uses software to filter unwanted e-mails (spam filters). The spam filter might cause e-mails to be rejected if they have been falsely identified as spam by certain features.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. An encrypted connection can be recognised by "https://" in the address bar of the browser as well as by the lock symbol. II. Provision of the website and creation of log files

Each time you access our website, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer.

The following data will be collected:

  3. The IP address of the user
  4. Date and time of access
  5. Websites from which the user's system accesses our website

The data is also stored in the log files of our system. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user. IV. Newsletter

You can subscribe to a free newsletter on our website. When registering for the newsletter, the data from the input mask is stored via e-mail marketing software of the service provider CleverReach. The company CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG is represented by the CleverReach Verwaltungs GmbH, represented by the respective sole authorised representatives Christian Schmidt and Jens Klibingat, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede / Germany, (see §7 Data Security). The following data is stored: e-mail address, name/company, title and the format in which you must receive your newsletter. V. Contact form and e-mail contact

On our website you will find various contact forms and input masks, which can be used, for example, for electronic contact or the booking of overnight stays. Jugendgästehaus Hauptbahnhof cooperates with Customer Alliance (represented by managing director Moritz Klussmann, Ullsteinstr. 118, Turm B, 12109 Berlin/Germany), an independent rating service provider that operates intelligent feedback systems.

VI. Plugins and Tools

YouTube

Our websites use plugins of the YouTube site operated by Google. The site is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plug-in, a connection is established to YouTube's servers. This will tell the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you can allow YouTube to directly associate your surfing behaviour with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. to help us understand what users search most for on our web pages in order to make our web pages more user-friendly.
